Adam Smith (June 16, 1723 - July 17, 1790) was a key political economist, author and moral philosopher from Scotland. Two of the works he produced stand out from the rest: The Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759), and An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations (1776). The later, commonly referred to as The Wealth of Nations, is widely considered as a masterpiece and the first modern work of economics. Enjoy the tour!
