Albert Einstein was born on 14 March 1879 in Germany. He was a theoretical physicist and developed the Relativity Theory which is known as a pillar of modern physics. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in physics in 1921 for his contribution to theoretical physics. The major contribution for which he was awarded the prize was his finding of the law of the photoelectric effect known as an essential step in the development of quantum theory.
